Kai Iwi Lakes Trial Regatta

WOW ! What a place

This was a fabulous event sailed on the crystal clear waters of lake Waikere

Gusty 10- 15 knot south west breeze on Saturday was a little challenging for all sailors especially rounding the bottom gate that was set a little far away!

Ian Vickers proved he made no mistake with his new V 11 and quickly established himself to be top of the leaderboard and this continued in the light conditions of the next day

All sailors enjoyed the weekend and all said yes to be back next year

So the venue proved to be good for regional events and it is possible the next North Island Championships will be held here

White Paper

I guess most of us are only interested in our fortnightly sailing at the club.

However it takes a lot more to ensure quality in our radio sailing regattas around NZ

A lot of time and thought has gone into writing the white paper with only one aim and that is to improve radio sailing throughout NZ. I encourage you all to take some time out, to understand the content of the white paper.

Please take the time to read the papers from the links below and talk about it with club mates.

1. RC Sailing NZL White Paper – Draft Ver 1.05-Plan
